Vote for me, i'll sort out the debt crisis :s
I dont get it, accoding to the bbc the country is into the main financial players in the world for about 1.7 trillion dollars yet, those same players are into us for about 1.55trillion dollars.
so were owed 90% of what we owe others.
break it down for example, we owe the us 500billion, yet they owe us 800billion.
why not right off the 500billion and sudden reduce 30% of the uk debt and 20% of the us debt? were at square 1 and the us only owes 300billion.
can do the same with alot of other countrys and reduce massive amounts, France is another good example, we owe 210bill, are owed 227bill, so france owes us 17bill.
it wont totaly cancel all debt, it will however reduce the amount hugely.
can someone in the know explain how the badgers it works?

Not exactly straight cut, we dont nessisarily owe all the 210m to the French Govt Bank and vice versa. Its like saying if you owe my brother £20 and I owe you £10 we just say you owe my brother £10. I'd be more than happy with that deal but my brother wouldnt be.
