MICHELIN TYRE TESTER FOR A DAY
Decided what the hec when I got this in my inbox a week or so back MICHELIN TYRE TESTER FOR A DAY... and , I've 'won' 
The PH page has this pic
Which is what got my interest - free track day in a Porche me thought
...Reading the small print though I'm not so sure
...
'Your venue for the day will be the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone, which means you'll be able to tackle their ice hill, kick plate and off road track to put the tyres through their paces in a variety of conditions'
Hmmm... no mention of hooning the 911 'round Silverstone there
But what's this.. 'Better still...'
'Better still, you'll be doing it in a 911, Panamera and Cayenne (The folks at Michelin were planning to offer a drive of a 10-year-old Daewoo Matiz, but we talked them around). Which should be lovely'.... Hmmm...?

Yes, thats me... Was a good morning. Here's a video.
The grip level from the cold weather (you get frowned on for calling them winter tyres) tyres was easily double on the ice simulator and kick plate
The highlight for me though was being taken around the off-road section in the Cayenne - 1:1 hills up and down, stopping half way down and then reversing up
Camber corner ~40° 
One corner in the air and the intelligent damper control of the other 3 
Can't look at the Chelsea Tractor in the same light nowDan Trent PH Editor) who wrote up the PH feature is keen to write a 'carpool' feature on my Type R
