So i had a full decat 3" Milltek fitted with just a small cherrybomb style reasonator in the centre pipe and OMG it sounds so loud in the car it resonated at low revs and also caused cabin drone at 70-80mph. Has anyone else experienced this? I has a centre section with a resonator and cat in place which i might have to chuck on instead as i am ashamed to drive a car that sounds like a chav mobile

 

LOL,I have a blitz nur spec-r and tbho without the bung it is also very fookin loud,rumbles shop windows through town

 

It will coke up a touch and you will also get used to it

 

my racebox lasted a week 107db on idle ! loud is good LOUD gets you hated

 

I'm sure the neighbours liked the spec C H & S system

 

Im glad our 3" cobra turbo back ( no resonators straight through ) settled a bit with carbon build up it was ear popping material to start with. Lot quiter now thank ****

 

Exactly the same here, our street has mental echo too..

 

I had a complete de-cat Miltek 3" system on my classic earlier this year. That wasn't loud at all, didn't get any cabin drone whatsoever even with my car being stripped out. I actually changed it to a tornado system as it was too quiet for my liking.
I'm not a 'chav' either so my 'loud' is probably no different to yours. For example, I personally think a Nur spec is over the top loud with the bung out.

 

If it had stayed as it was when first went on i think it would have been removed

 

I am wondering if the baffles in the backbox are knackered as that is the only part secondhand off a friend, so will let it have the map tweak tomorrow with Fb Tuning and chat with Rich and see what he thinks is best.

ive got a nur spec got myself a nice fine for 116db with the bung in!

 

Was it calibrated ^^^ lol my race tube is just under 120 without a bung

Well i had the reasonated centre section re-fitted as i was not man enough for straight through pipe sounds a lot better and the map tweak has helped gain a nice amount power so win win
