Default Remap before fitting delimeter/speedo converter

Got a 96' STI RA which is still limited to 112mph and speedo still reads in kph. I am booked in to get the car remapped next week.

Would it affect the remap if I fitted the converter after the remap or does it have to be fitted before hand, cheers.

You guys aren't getting what I mean, or maybe I haven't explained it well enough.

I'm concerned that if I get it remapped before the delimiter is fitted then when its fitted the map might not be set for high speed runs so what would happen above the 112mph mark? Or would it be ok?

112mph should be high enough for the mapper to work out the fuelling and ignition needed, only ever went beyond that when I got excited on the road

Delimit first then remap it. It's a 5min job to delimit your car. I'm sure if you speak to your mapper he'll sort you out.

Thanks for the replies. I've ordered a converter and I'm sure Andy F will keep me right on the day, cheers.
