Default Ok, what's the trick to getting injectors in?

Cannot for the life of me get these b@stard things in!!!

Phase 2's going into phase 1.5 rail with adaptor kit
Theyre caked in vaseline, tried:
pushing down on top
pushing down on top and turning
pushing down on top with a pry bar pressed into my chest and turning
pushing down on top with a pair of 90' angled long nose pliers and turning

My hands and back are now killing me and was starting to loose my temper so thought I'd better leave it for today before I lob em over the fence,

Rant over, sorry

Any tips? Thanks.

The injectors are a Phase2 type, with a Ph1 to 2 adaptor kit, which were supplied by me.

Fit the adaptor collars to the bottom of the phase2 injectors - They should be a nice fit with a smear of grease/vasolene on the bottom o ring of the injector.

Grease and fit the supplied O ring to the collar that you've just fitted to the injector.

Grease the top o ring on the injector, and Position the injector in the rail. Make sure the injector is sitting squarely in the rail and push and twist it straight down into place.

It's important that the injector is pushed into place squarely, to avoid damaging the o rings, and possibly causing a fuel leak.

If you are struggling to get the injector to fully seat 'home', you may find that you need to gently clean out the top of the rail with a piece of fine wet and dry paper, to clean off any corrosion , and then rinse out the rail with brake cleaner before fitting.

If you need any assistance tomorrow, give me a call

Hey rich

Done all the above except the wet & dry paper trick, I'll give that a bash

It was chamfered side up on that washer wasn't it?

Cheers

i sometimes find it easier to fit the adapters in the rails first, then push the injectors in

I've just put mine in although my manifold was off as well so it made it a lot easier. I used silicone spray & although still very tight, they all slid in fairly easily.

The bar against your chest method would be my attempt if I was doing it in situ, keep trying that way.

Think I'm gonna have to remove the rails then try and fit the injectors coz I can see me wrecking these soon,

What about gently warming the rails with hair drier / heat gun to get em to expand slightly?
