V5 engine to fit v4
Hi all I have a 98 v4 terzo I have killed the engine due to nitrous I have got a v5 engine that I have tried to fit but the wiring will not fit the v5 is there a way to mod this if any one knows or has done this any help would be good cheers lee
no easy way im afraid, the one thing you can do is use the heads from your old engine and fit them to your new block as the v5 engine has completely different heads/inlet manifold amongst other things.
Yep, any heads fit any block AFAIK, so v.4 STi heads is the no hassle option - also freer revving (better cams) than the "WRX" spec ones of the Terzo.
That way you can use all your existing Terzo's inlet manifold/ancillaries and, importantly, not have to phaff about with splicing the differing MY98 and MY99 wiring looms together! Do it - best option... Then just flog on the surplus-to-requirements v.5 heads.

Also, keeping with the same MY heads as the block means that you're also not altering the compression ratio, so a set of the metal OEM 1.6mm STi v.1-4 HGs will keep the correct C.R. - no phaffing about, etc...
