Default defi gauges - where to but?

anyone know a good (cheap!) place to buy a complete setup of Defi Gauges - boost, oil pressure and oil temperature with senders and link meter, pod etc?

Also is there any difference in the ones from the states - found a couple of American companies that are doing the 'Advance' gauges and they are sub 200 dollars each and will ship to UK for 30 dollars or so for a full set - talking 900 dollars max for all 3 gauges, meter, pod etc?

Also I assume the insurance needs to be informed?

Finally, anyone had their car broken into and the gauges nicked or such? Obviously worth quite a bit and very 'On Display' on the dashboard?

Cheers for any pointers.

No such thing as cheap Defi's M8. Especially with the £ Vs the YEN at the moment. Maybe cheaper to bring in from Japan or USA yourself, but you always run the risk of getting customs charges and VAT if they get stopped coming into the Uk

Try nito, on here, send him a PM, he saw me right with some that have been out of production for a couple of years.

As for getting them from the USA, the readings tend to be in Imperial units, PSI instead of bar, degrees F instead of degrees C etc.

Hi STi Lou - good price for the gauges assuming they are in good condition - waiting till March would be a problem - once I decide on something I'm wanting it as soon as possible really - well after a post or too to get some info on here. If you can do sooner I may well be interested, if not thanks for the offer and I'll have a think about it - can you send a photo or two please.

Cheers

Theres 2 words you dont see together,Cheap and Defi

Is there that big a difference between them and say Prosports? Apart from the data collection.

Default defi's

When I said cheap - I meant cheapest place to buy as prices seem to vary by up to £70 per gauge with differing companies.

Spoke to Scoobyworld earlier and they really like the Prosports - he reckons they are heading towards 1000 sold! Says the Defi's are obviously better quality but the Prosports are excellent for their price.

Still tempted by some nice Defi's though as I plan to keep the car.

Defi's may be pricey but when you work out Tax, Insuance, Petrol etc they don't seem so bad really!

Do you still have the Defi gauges for sale mate ? Are you willing to sell the boost gauge with the sensors and wires seperately ?
