Default Radiator is leaking!!

Hi all,
I was just out and about yesterday when noticed steam coming from the front of the car. On looking theres a tiny hole in the top of the black plastic!

So I gather I need a new RAD?
Subaru: Cost £314 - just parts.

Anyone know where I can source a raditor or maybe an aftermarket one?

thanks

I have the same problem, ordered one off ebay, with guarantee, £53 delivered. I chose them after a couple of folks have used them, so much cheaper than other places.

Mine was £64 locally, looks EXACTLY like the one on the car before, and the guy threw in two decent new jubilee clips.

Try www.yell.co under radiators, vehicle.

Oh and a couple of tips: change your top hose at the same time.
And remove both upper and lower brackets off the rad, (two bolts for each at the ends), give each a couple of coats of Hammerite smooth before refitting, then replace ALL bolts including those that hold the fan shroud and the steering fluid cooler pipe, with the equivalent in stainless, best couple of £££ you'll spend

www.screwfix.co.uk, or www.yell.com under bolt and nut stockist. Mine sell me a few at a time for £1 or so. They are M6 x20 and M6 x25

Once again thanks

Mine was £64 locally, as I said, looks IDENTICAL to the one I removed, (except not holed and a LOT newer), and matey guarantees it two years.

why not just seal the hole with some putty or heat resistant glue, it should be pretty easy to sort if it's only a pin hole and will cost no more than a fiver.

I did try to put some high temperature heat resistence silicone but that worked until the car got hot

silicone's no good mate you need a glue or putty that will harden and hold the pressure. There's a putty you can buy from the likes of halfords that will do the job, it's made by araldite, there's also JB weld, i have used both of these in the past with good results.
