Default some Sigma Q's for ya

So me and the scoob are just settling in now after a few weeks and getting to know one another and i now have a few questions on the security
Its a 2002 sti fitted with the Sigma alarm.
I have been told that it is a Cat one alarm, so if it is should i not have some certs to go with it because i dont have anything.
Can i get replacments ?? if so were from ??
The other thing is, i only have one fob, Were can i get a spare and for how much ?
Lastly, i also would like a spare key. were do i get one of those ? The key i have is huge with two buttons but dont do anything and acording to the last owner, never have. One says open the other says lock but the sigma fob does all that
Cheers in advance
Ian

Contact Subaru UK, They will supply you with a certificate of validation.

If you contact Phil ( ive got a 'regards slip with mine' His surname looks like Cornwell, but it could be Colwell !?! ) either way call him on 0121 747 4000 ( Subaru UK )

An mention you were told he could help you out with a Certificate for your Sigma Alarm.

He supplied one to me for my RB5, when i couldn't find anyone to help.

My Bugeye WRX has a Sigma on it....not sure about the Cat 1 stuff....
....I have a little card that tells you all about arming the system and the various functions......

..........Exclude interior protection.................
When ignition is on(not engine)...press remote button once and the immediately turn ignition OFF. Exit the vehicle and arm normally.
The system will arm as normal but the hazzard lights will flash 8 times(rather than 4 times)...this will confim ultrasonic exclusion

It does other stuff aswell....but thats in the manual.....not sure where it is right now.....will have a look tommorow.

I think...........if you hold down the button....it sets the alarm off...kind of a personal alarm if you are near the car and getting threatened...LOL!

You can turn all the remotes off so that you HAVE to use the keypad to disarm the system....this is handy when on holiday or leaving the car for a while.....if someone gets the remote....it will do jack s+$%. Hope you know your code?

Subaru should be able to sort it for free....just pop in to dealership.

My RB has a Cobra Trackstar Tracker fitted, i never had the installation cert for that either, but after giving Cobra my car reg, they found all the info in their data base.

Once you find out what tracker it is ( no sure if they all came with a cobra ) contact the company an see what they can do.

I doubt you'll get anything off for having an alarm certificate.

Any decent insurance company will know what system it is anyway.
I've never had to do this with my insurance companies.
The only thing they have ever asked for is a copy of the tracker installation certificate.

I am not after a deduction because i know i wont be getting one but i do know that most insurers ask for the certs just as proof that what you say you have, you have if you know what i mean
