Backed up against kerb on the weekend and managed to rip off one of my mudflaps

I priced up a replacement and they are the princely sum of £100+ (probably due to the little prodrive logo on them)

The only damage to the flap is that they have split from the holes to the top. Is there any way I can glue/melt/plastic weld the splits back together again?

I've done the same.

I put a bit of metal strip across the top (imagine meccano). 2 holes where the fixings are, and two more holes through which you bolt the metal strip to the mudflap. Easy and cheap.

But beware that the stronger you make this connection, next time you do the same trick you might rip the whole mudflap, or worse damage the bodywork of the car as you rip the muflap off

 

At £45 they are bargin, but they don't supply a prodrive logo. I have a few sets in the garage, but love the prodrive ones as the logo isn't ott.

I like that, I know what you mean about the strength though. Already added a modification to the rear bumper when I ripped this one off

 

Speedkings repair sounds like the solution, or use big washers.
