100% yes !

do you have ppp ?

if not you will need to upgrade the fuel pump and panel filter to get the best out of the map

i run a 3" turbo back milltek system, k&n panel filter, ported headers and turbo, remap by andrew carr 345bhp / 340lb...

depends how far you want to go, im planning for 400 so went for 3".

keeping your downpipe with a cat back system, panel filter, fuel pump and a remap should see you between 320-330bhp

At the risk of sounding obtuse, I've got an STi and I put a blitz nur spec on it, I've never had it mapped and its been fine (could just have been lucky I suppose). The Check Engine Light hasn't come on at all.

I do know I won't be getting the most power possible out of the car though, so in that respect you could say its a bit of a waste.

So a full decat on an STI? have you fitted a KS3/knocklink? if you did you would want to have the car remapped, do you know what is happening to your engine running a full decat (i take it you have though you have not said so, if not and are still running the down pipe cat, its not too bad), but with a full decat your boost spiking, this causes det, that puts holes in your pistons and you can lose compression or even worse, hole/crack a piston, or it can be what normally happens and thats engine failure as the big end bearing has a tendancy to go due to the strain, but your engine will suffer for it....

Ah, my mistake, I do still have the downpipe cat. I haven't got a KS3/Knocklink (I don't even know what it is, I'm afraid).

I do want to get a remap done, as even if there are no engine issues, I know I won't be getting the best performance wise.

Sounds like the standard Scooby shock absorber problem. Is it on the left hand side rear by any chance?

www.phormula.co.uk good for modified cars
A knocklink is something similar that has been around for quite some time, the KS3/4 are more informative.
