Default More power!!!

I have recently purchased a 2004 53 plate wrx sti UK. Car already had fitted forge dump valve and uprated pump and viper cold air inner wing fed induction kit. Also has stainless exhaust with decat middle section.

Since owning the car i have fitted a bell mouthed de cat downpipe and had the car mapped by Duncan. He says the car should now be approx 330 ish horse.

I would like to take the car a little further to Take it to approx 400 horse and have been told to get a Vf22 turbo and some 750cc injectors and a decat up pipe although i have been told that the sti does not have a cat in the up pipe?? And then get the car mapped again.

I have just had an uprated clutch fitted which is good for 450 horse and i also have a 3 port boost solenoid to fit!!

Just after any advice if this set up Will work as i have also been told to use a vf48 turbo??

Cheers
Andy

650cc injectors, uprated fuel pump, 3 port boost solenoid, upgrade the brakes (discs/pads should do it for now), then you have a choice of turbo's, TD05 20G will get you near 400bhp, MD321 series, sc450 etc, the VF22 wont see you to 400, and they can be very fragile

Default VF48

Be carefull when chasing big hp that you don't lose driveability which is often the case with just going bigger on the turbo.
You want one that's been designed to give quick spool up as well as enough flow for your big hp. So i agree with other posts AFP 20g, Md, SC etc is way to go.

VF48 is a good choice from what I understand and will hopefully be my next turbo!

I wouldnt chase numbers, it all pub talk. Thing as above says, go for quick spool, and torque. I was into chasing number trying to get high. But in the end settled for a hybrid TD04, but do want more but just love how it drives.
