A total bitch without a ramp.
Managed to do a clutch change in under 2 hours the last time i had the box off. That did involve 3 people that had done it alot of times before though

if you have not got any mates, then you can do it all by your self up until the box is ready to drop and then beg someone off the streets to help you pull the box.
that's what i done (billy no mates, me!), actually i do have mates but they are all busy when i mention gearbox

But I`m just a pain, and will do stuff cos I want it done.
Lucky for me I`m strong enough to cart the box around and have done shizzle like this before lol.
Will DEFFO try and get my mates to give a hand, but as soon as you mention manual labour, then they are always busy.
I did mine on mi own, ont drive. Its not as bad as people make out but still a bit of a twart. Get the car as high as you can on axle stands then just bench press it up there, bit of a wiggle and its home. Hardest part i found was splitting the box from engine int first place.

I drilled a lenth of old decking and strapped it to the bottom of the box where the mounts go and just jacked it in to place.

Will see what I can bodge together to give me a hand, have 4 axle stands and 2 very large lorry axle stands, so will get her in the air.
you will need ATLEAST 2 people to do it, just for the lining up part as the rest can be done on your own, better to have 3 people though, 1 under car pushing, another pulling from the top and a third spinning the flywheel and your sorted
takes a few hours, gonna be taking mine out tomorrow, not that bad a job if im honest

i was warned about this,,,, ignored it and then had to reconnect the box to block and remove the pin

oh dont forget to take out the pin that holds the fork to the clutch bearing or the box will NEVER seperate !!!

Yeah should be fine to lift into place, its getting it on the engine, and more importantly doing the bolts up on the cradle.
once you get the dowels lined up beteen the engine and box its pretty much stuck there and bell housing will sit on the cross beam anyway. I just put a jack under the rear of the box then started refittin the bolts. Just be carefull not to damage the threads on the two studs at the engine lower.
I used a transmission stand with wheels when i have done it on the ramp. All you have to do is get the box at the correct height and it pushes straight on. Actually doing a box change next week as I managed to rip all the teeth of 5th gear yesterday
