Default single boost gauge in classic wrx

ive looked through most of the old threads about boost gauge fitting but i can seem to find a guide on the single boost gauge fitting!

just wandering how do get the pipe from the gauge to the boost pipe in the engine bay as i was going to mount it on the right hand side of the dash at the back (by the bottom of the pillar)

do i need to take the dash apart??
also, where can i wire up the light for it as my radio has a constant live going to it for some reason.

thanks
rich

Undo the four screws holding bottom of dashboard on ( bit under the steering wheel) behind there there is a gromet that goes into engine bay as for power i came off the wire for the side lights where it comes from the indicator stalk . Hope this helps

yes it does, thanks
my only issue is that i have a smoked boost gauge and i can hardly see it during the day so would need to contantly have lights on, where would be the best place to get it so its on as soon as the engine is on?

Conect it to the swiched side of the ignition you want the wire that brings the dash lights on on the key

Its best to disconect negative before undertaking any work on the electrics as everything metal will be an earth and you will end up welding your screwdriver to the dash lol! Been thrre done that

Remove the dash undertray, it also fixes at the side of the dash, that will let you get in near the bottom of the A pillar.
