Default Need a crank!!!

Gutted ran my scooby low on oil and ive paided the price. My bottom end is knocking now so ive stripped the engine out. Its got an sti v7 crank in it so looking to get one of them or maybe v9 one as ive been told not to re-grind my crank. Just wondering if anyone has a decent crank at a good price i could buy off them.

mate dont try buying a cheap secondhand crank otherwise you will end up having to pay out for a second rebuilt! Your best off getting a v9 nitrided crank from a reputable company and know that you are buying a quality part that wont fail on you within 3k. It maybe worth your while speaking to A.P.I Engines as David can give you sound advice and they also stock top quality parts.

The crank that people call a v9 isnt actually a v9 anything crank, there are several different cranks across the range that are used, the one your after is the twin scroll drilled/nitrided one, some people call the v9 an MY05 car, its not as there is confusion using the version numbers as they stopped on the 6 for a reason
As long as you upgrade to the TWIN SCROLL crank, your sorted

Tony

PS, regrinding isnt advisable
