Was on my way to work this morning when a w#nker came up behind me in a ford maverik and sat 3 inch off my rear bumper, must have wanted to listen to my radio

I was doing 50 mph in a 60, He sat there all the way till i got to work and followed me in to the road my factory is on so i thought he wants some, (seat belt was off at this time), but it turned out he worked at a bus company next door and as i pulled into my factory he blasted his horn, was having none of that so i reversed out and followed him into his car park and asked him what his problem was to wich he replied it was me with the problem possing in my car coz i was only doing 50 all the way to work, couldn't help laughing at that reply as i would understand it if i was speeding and overtaking everyone but i dont drive like that, so then i said its not my fault you only earn £6 an hour and can only afford that shed, thats when i thought i was going to see a grown man cry, so then i just drove off in my possing machine ha ha,
What is it with people.

i was sat at lights the other day and someone shouted "nice subaru" and gave the thumbs up. made my day even though they were teenagers.

they got a thumbs up back and i couldnt resist a giving it revs with poping an banging : )

 

60mph is a max speed not min is my answer, as long as your not taking the urine at 10 mph lol

I do 30 in a 30 and when the road allows for it 60 in a 60. Sitting behind someone doing 50mph would do my head in too, especially if it was a nice open road.

 

if its an open road then they can overtake,

i like to go out and just enjoy the drive,if im doin 50mph in a 60 then they can overtake me,

just because we drive performance cars dont mean we need to rush/speed everywhere

This is a interesting thread. I usually do sixty in a sixty sometimes 50 depending on how tired I am. But no matter what speed I do, I get everyone up my **** wanting to prove something. Idiots in pugs who pull of silly manoveres to get past me. Let them.

I also get a lot of stick at work because I only tootle around doing the speed limit. Guess they have to feel to take the mick because they driver rovers with more rust on them than a ford lol.

 

Undeniably true, but it's also worth remembering that 50 on the speedo in most cars is really only a smidge over 45 on the road (easy enough to test with a GPS and a competent passenger), which is heading into Sunday driver territory.

That said, there's never any excuse to b1tch and moan about other people's slow driving. If you're worried about being late, leave earlier. If you're medically incapable of sitting behind anything else on the road, buy a sports bike or just avoid roads that don't have the space to overtake in a car. Simples.

You did the right thing fella, if he had a problem he should of gone past

Make's my mind so at ease knowing that with my dad's on the road as a driving instructor with novice drivers, that there are so many other drivers willing to sit up someone **** as they are not doing the speed limit

 

To be honest, I hate being stuck behind people driving at 50mph when the raod is clear enough and in a 60......but I would not sit a ***** width away from somebody's bumper and then give them abuse for it!! If I'm in the Scooby I would look to overtake, in the Ibiza....grin and bear it.....

It's the crowd that drive at 50 in a 60 zone and then arrive at a town/village and continue doing 50 through the 30 zones that really pi55 me off!!

Does sound like the guy was being a bit of a pap- shouldn't have encouraged it and brought yourself down to his level......maybe waiting til you were behind him some day and burning past him would have frustrated him even more!!
