Default RUN AND MEET IDEA'S ??

thought i would start a thread to see if we can all come up with some new meeting and run area's, i know it's a hard one to come up with some good idea's as we are all spread across wales and some may have to travel further than others but if we can suggest a few places for some ideas for runs/ meets hopefully we can come up with a few across the board and do them in turn or which one's work out the best or people enjoy most

so if you know of a good run's or places to have a meet please post it here and hopefully we can come up with some different alternatives and times for some meets to be held

once there are a few good ideas we should then post them up every so often

one i have been thinking about is a nice run/meet by the coast and it starts at pen coed MC d's and then nice drive to ogmore by sea which we can stop for five Min's take in the views/ photos and then take a nice drive on the B4265 along the coast( nice road ) through broughton then llantwit major and st athan's to font-y-Gary where there is a nice little fish shop on the bay with good parking for rest or refreshments,it also has big field where i have seen a classic car club there on some weekends then from there around passed airport and then back to M4 via Barry so people can head home this can be be in the week night or weekend so theres one any more ??

lets get them spread across the board as I'm looking forward to do a few runs or meets in different places

I have one I use to organize with the Clio boys. But it's a Lil rough in areas. Would this put people off? It a tour of the brecon beacons. Penderyn, horse shoe pass, black mountains twice, llandovery, gwryd and ammanford back roads. It a total of ~150miles. Plenty of stopping points and food areas nice Sunday/saturday drive.

A bit of an extended run this one but well worth doing and I've been lazy and copied/pasted a previous post

The road around llyn brianne is a cracker

If anyone is interested in attending stages on Rally GB (officially or unofficially...ahem) I'd be up for organising something. Obviously the unofficial routes may require smaller numbers (for stealth purposes) and a little walking to get "on-stage".

The long runs all sound great but thats something we do every 3-4 months anyway really. I was thinking something a little shorter, perhaps a meet at the horse shoe bend or Merthyr Mc D's one evening in the week for a chat then a run out over the Penderyn road or simular. Nothing too far as these will be monthly meets and a big run every month would finish us all!!

I am looking forward to the next big one though!!

Went for a late night blast last night over the black mountains and then headed back on the narrow twisties towards trecastle.

awww fanx mate

september after kids go back to school

i have spoke to a mate of mine, he has organised road rallys in the past and knows the north wales roads like the back of his hand. he said he will help me plot a route taking in some of the roads used on rallys (but not all, some are miles too tight and rough) the route will be approx 100 miles, or we could do less, what do you think?

I drove upper/lower chapel a yesterday day to test my new suspension geometry. I'm always up for night time blast up the black mountains, even if it's only a few of us.

Its the best time to attack that road, especially as push bikers have taken to it. plus my brakes and exhaust glows so red at the other end its quite comical

Will take a pic one night to show what i mean.

Sounds like a plan a nice night time blast. MMMmmmmmm

What's wrong with all you pussies, drive up to North Wales for a cracking drive there and back plus one of the best routes in the UK (these roads are nearly on a par with some South and Mid Wales roads ).

Ok then I will, but you organise the night time run over Llyn Brianne going up to the Elan Valley, back to Rhyader, Newbridge to Beulah, Llandovery, Black Mountains etc.

And as you will be following my exhaust fumes the whole time please don't put your front driving lamps on full beam.
