just done the run that i suggested @ the start of the thread but i was in the ford focus and with kerri and the kids and thought it was a nice run, seen plenty of places to stop with great veiws plus lots of nice quiet pubs lol the roads were also great to drive so it has the thumbs up as a nice little run for something close and different,

right guys what do you all think about setting a date for a nice little run ??? plus where do most of you fancy first ?? im sure we can get something sorted soon ?

Lee, there are a few Travelogue/Premier Inn places I can check on up North. There's one next to a Shell for some go-go juice too. If we can head up toward the *** then we should be sorted. Can I suggest that it's not a drag race but a genuine spirited drive out

I think the route would plan itself around the end location.

3rd weekend in August (21st ?)would be good for me.

Anyone else?

so if you know of a good run's or places to have a meet please post it here and hopefully we can come up with some different alternatives and times for some meets to be held

once there are a few good ideas we should then post them up every so often

one i have been thinking about is a nice run/meet by the coast and it starts at pen coed MC d's and then nice drive to ogmore by sea which we can stop for five Min's take in the views/ photos and then take a nice drive on the B4265 along the coast( nice road ) through broughton then llantwit major and st athan's to font-y-Gary where there is a nice little fish shop on the bay with good parking for rest or refreshments,it also has big field where i have seen a classic car club there on some weekends then from there around passed airport and then back to M4 via Barry so people can head home this can be be in the week night or weekend so theres one any more ??

lets get them spread across the board as I'm looking forward to do a few runs or meets in different places

I've only had my bugeye 2 weeks but I done this exact trip twice so far....

I'll have to have a look at dates and funds for an overnight stay and run up and around North Wales but it would be a good trip for all.

Lee, I have checked a number of Trasvelodge/Premier Inns and they are booked up!

A day drive up and night drive down could be a goer.

21st August will avoid the Bank Holiday traffic.

I am up for a run up to Goggland on the 21st if enough of us are interested.

Well we may as well start a list to check interest.

1. Blue Dragoon
2. DYL4N
3. Cannon Fodder
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

For those running in engine rebuilds it would be a good chance to rack up some miles.

Not too bad oldboy, just wish i had more cash to splash on the things i love doing. The little boy will be in school next year though so i should be able to get back in the game next summer without creche fees etc.

Thanks for the offer of a passenger ride too, i may well take you up on that, as long as i am feeling brave!

I will drop you a PM if its a go
