Hi ive just got my 1997 impreza import and when i park it on my drive, which is on a slope it loses a little oil overnight?!? is this right?????

its near the turbo it loses a little bit not enough to have to top the oil up as yet apart from that its great!!!! any help would be appreciated

is the oil dripping down on the turbe side then mate onto the up pipe?

 

There seems to be a leak just clean all areas of oil and leave it overnight and find the oil leak and fix could get worse.

 

from what ive seen its dripping underneath the turbo down onto the bottom of the gear box and then the floor, any ideas what it could be??????????

 

oil return maybe on the turbo?could be rocker cover gasket?or the head gasket but i wouldnt think that one mate.

 

its not the head gasket checked that already, i think the oil return on the turbo as long as its not left in the turbo its a good thing but still dont want lose oil!!! thanks mate!!!

 

no worries mate just acase of pulling of and checking if its split or the gasket is deteriated and needs changing.

 

power steering fluid?

 

Drop the undertray if still fitted and look for any drips.
It may be a continuous leak that gathers on the tray well away from the turbo and runs out the back when on a slope.

 

I've checked it's not power steering fluid think I'll check the oil return as long as the weather holds up this weekend! I've got the car cheap so don't mind spending abit of money on it it's supposed to be running 400bhp plus from a previous owner but I'm gonna get it checked myself Before I start quoting figures it's quicker than a standard scoob though, the last owner fitted a blitz boost controller but no bleeding instructions!!! So will get it set up with that I think cheers for your help!!!
