Default Ideas for fitting Guages.

Hey all.

In process of buying some gauges at the mo.

I was going to fit the 3 gauges on my a piller, but having trouble getting hold of one. I'm looking at 52mm Prosprt gauges.

Now speaking to a garage which is going to fit them, they didn't highly reccommend using a triple gauge mount.

Problems being the weight of gauges being to heavy. And problems could occur with visability at night with the light and could be seen as a problem for mot by interferring with line of sight.

I'm not keen on having the dash mount style.

I want to have my boost gauge on the a pillar which would mean I'll need a third gauge to fill up the dash mount.

I'm only wanting Boost, Oil Temp and Oil Pressure. So I'm thinking I'll get a double a pillar mount and fit the third gauge on my steering coloum. Now would you reccomend that and how would I go about it. So it don't look tacky.

This has been a ongoing thing for me really as I want to make sure I can get them properly fitted before I go ahead lol.

If I did have to get a fourth gauge to fill the dash mount which would be best and where would sender go.

KingTiger: what car are these going on?

PS: the "line of sight" for MoT is just so much b/s.

If you want another gauge then water temp is a good one to have, as the dash one isn't that informative.
