Good on you mate! As the father of four sons, believe me when I say I know what it's all about. Wife version 2 had one stock delivery, one induced and one out through the sun roof..
One piece of advice, stay away from the delivery room. It isn't for blokes.
Forget all this stuff about being in there holding her hand, all you'll do is get in the bloody way, and it'll end in tears. Do what I did, and put a sub in, preferably a bird who's had a couple of sprogs herself, they know exactly what to do. Just get your lips around a pint, and wait it out, that's the ticket. By the time you cheerfully wander in, all the mess will be cleaned up, and they'll just hand you the baby. Pukka!

congrats

gotta disagree with above, best bit is seeing them born, i cut the cord too

you gotta experience the moment of birth

each to their own i guess

either way,its easier the younger they are, 0-18mths is the easier times, even tho the 2-3 hr feeds etc wont feel like it

when they get to 3+ you`ll be wishing they are 6 mths again LOL

enjoy it

yup, when they're really small all they do is sleep and eat. and you'll be annoyed that 'your new toy' doesn't do more, then around 2 - 4 year mark, you'll hanker after those new born months.
but being a dad is cool.
and a subaru WRX is best suited to be a family car, even the saloon.

My little lad is just coming up to 14 months old, enjoy the taxi rides for the next few months. My sister is about at the same stage as you with her first. The bug makes a great family car - isofix for the kiddie seat, boot big enough to get most of the gear in (the wife does have c-max for the week away trips). The security of AWD this winter was great, I don't think we'd ever be without one now - either SUV or 'normal car'. The thrum of the flat 4 is a great lullaby!

Congrats to you both.... our little man is now 11 months and the best thing to ever happen to us! , i was at the birth aswell and i have been abit of a jack the lad in the past and i cried like a baby! so dont miss it mate ... i sold my scooby when i found out the wife was pregnant as i assumed we needed a family car, but i had the urge for another as soon as it went so now have a bugeye and its great as a family car, and my missus picked the biggest pram on sale and it still fits in the boot lol. All the best
