Steering
Hi guys,
I have a 2004 wrx and when the car is cold and I've just started it, the steering is really 'sticky' for a few minutes.
Is this just because the car is warming up and the power steering fluid isn't quite where it needs to be? Or is it the first sign of a bigger problem.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
The power steering should be good all of the time.....whether its cold or warm!
Try checking the fluid level?
Or it maybe the pump is on its way out...........can you hear a wine or anyother noise coming from the pump occationally??

Hi,
When i worked for Subaru we did change a few pumps........I think the first signs of the pump packing up was for it to be a bit lumpy on the steering..........then a whining noise.
Prob best to change the fluid first as least expensive option......but may require new pump at a later stage.
Your welcome.
