had my05 wrx now for 6 months had it re-mapped by duancan full de-cat exhaust panel filter and the car was a total animal to me, now im bored of the power lol

so i know i need a bigger turbo,injectors,sti ic but can the internals of the engine handel the power? can the gearbox handel the power? i do drive the car hard ?

 

All depnds on which turbo or how much power you go for, I'd say the engine would hold up with 400bhp but I doubt the gearbox would last long.

what gearbox would handel the power?

or can i get the internals replaced of the gearbox

16g should be ok for both engine and gearbox as I'm sure the 5 speeds are better on the newer cars

 

what alternative is there for the gearbox?

what box is stronger and will fit my car? as i would like to be on the safe side

 

vf34/35 with your mentioned mods should see you 320bhp with good torque, your engine and gear box will be fine with that sort of power.

overpriced but a good turbo. not sure on the 380bhp claim though thought it was more like 350bhp

used usually go for about £350 - £400 but dont see them very often as they usually sell quick

 

Sell the wrx and get an sti, your at the stage where you want to push the car for as much power as you can get out of her and thinking about reliability, you need a better building block and the wrx will start costing you mega bucks.

As above sti , you will then have the engine and gearbox and brakes ect as standard .
