Default Got a version 5 or 6 99-00 Classic Impreza and fancy a magazine feature?

We are after a version 5 or 6 Classic shaped impreza for a magazine feature about panels filters and induction kits. This feature will be going into Japanese Perfomance Mag later this year.
We would need you & your car here with us for most of the day so wrap up warm.
We will need to run your car on the dyno approx 6-7 times to get back to back power figures to work out what product comes out on top. There will be 3 different panel filters and 2 induction kits being fitted over the course of the day with step by step pictures being taken for each product.

So if you fancy a few free power runs, getting your car in a mag and maybe even a free filter then get your names down below!

Please simply put your username and type of car eg:

Specialx Version 5 type R

we will print them off closer to the time, put all the names in a hat and pull out a lucky winner

Scoobyclinic is based in Chesterfield s42 6qx so please bear this in mind when putting your names down as unfortunatley we cannot pay any travel cost etc although I'm sure we will get you some lunch!

This will be happening in a few weeks so I'll get the date up as soon as the Mag gets back to me.

Cheers

That's why this should be good test, nothing scientific just suck em and see.

We only recommend induction kits on classic when fitting a FMIC and then advise customers to run an ECU that does not require an air flow meter if possible. From previous experience we have seen frequent air flow meter failures on v5/v6 cars with fmic and induction kit combination.

We have yet to receive the final list of filters but I'll let you know asap.

This is a little of topic but. Was wondering if at a later date inthe nearest future you may be willing to run another test for us all.

One thing I have found over the last few years of ownership and modding is the brake side of things is one hell of a headache. Everyone one has an opinion and that for me seems to be what ever they have forked out and fitted is the best.

For example we are all aware that a set of AP 6 pots get the best thumbs up but at £1800 plus fitting they are not cheap, where a lot of people state the k-sports are as good but half the price although no one has done back to back testing and will as far as I am concerned say they are as good as it's their money they have spent and if they have not had a set of say AP's can't really comment as all they can say is they can't fault them if that all makes any sense.

What I was thinking is could you arrange another test with looking at the classic in perticular to start with and test say

AP, K-Sport, Tarox, Newage STI Brembo

all fitted with a 330mm disk albeit say Performance Friction disks and pads and try the above back to back to find out stopping power / distances at set speeds / brake fade on track / overall performance etc

This would enable the end user such as myself to be able to buy with real proof if you follow me.

Cheers

Just curious, if scotty 30 has a front mounted intercooler, how is he gonna be able to test 3 different panel filters, unless of course he is gonna switch his airbox over on the day.

Great Idea but it's been hard to get filters out of manufacturers let alone a set of brakes. most producers do not like back to back testing of their products in case they don't get good results.

I'll make a few calls and test the water.
