HI THERE, I HAVE TWO TURBO'S FOR USE ON MY PROJECT CAR BUT WONDEREDWHICH ONE YOU GUYS RECKON IS BEST, I HAVE A T04E T3/T4 HYBRID WITH EXTERNALWASTEGATE AND A TDO5H, NOT KNOWING MUCH ABOUT THE SPEC OF EITHER TURBO WHICH ONE WILL MAKE MORE OOMPH

 

Hybrid TD04 will make approx 320bhp
TD05 16g will make approx 350bhp
That obviously depending what mods you have on your car.

What year is your car?

 

its a 93 legacy rs wi an autobahn88 front mount, chipped ecu, induction kit,beleive ej20 in legacy is sti one

 

The to4e will probably make more power, but the TD05h will probably be the best turbo to fit overall. I very much doubt you are prepared to spend what you need to make the most of the T3/T4 hybrid and it will be much laggier than the TD05. If you had a built engine with non Impreza heads things might be different, but I would recommend you stick with the TD05h assuming of course it's the subaru fitment one from the early impreza and not a DSM or Eclipse turbo you're trying to fit!

 

EJ20 just means that its the 2 litre.
If you fit any of the above turbos you will definatly need a remap!
Is it just the standard ECU your running or an aftermarket one?

 

at present its running around 308bhp at the wheels with a chip fitted to pre ob2 ecu, im only using it to drag race and im ok fabricatin pipe work etc but im after peak torque figures if i use one or the other, how can i squeeze as much drag performanceas pos out of it as it is? all help is so gratefully recieved, thanks zen for your advice i watch your cars at time attack and drag events.
