2 different animals m8. Type r classic is 1ne the most hardcore of them all. Uk sti newage is comfy much more lazy car than a classic. Weekend toy deffo type r, everyday uk newage.

The Sti8 is more a everyday driver with 6 speed & the Type R is more of fun car which also can be driven everyday.

However personally i like both

I own a V5 Type R, and it is my weekend toy . I could not use it for every day use due to the close ratio gear box, it's not built for motorway cruising.

will this be your daily drive or a weekend toy?

Its going to be my daily driver, i sold my wrx last month, had it 4 trouble free years so id have to say reliability is my main concern but the speed and handling come a close second!
I've always wanted a type r but not if its going to be unreliable which a lot of people keep telling me they are.

with my 2nd one i bought it stright from japan ,,and i thought id give it a track day before it went in for a full service and a few mods , did all the oil cheaks and the other things before a track day ,,, BIG MISTAKE 15 laps in the bottom end went and a 2k bill ,
as long as you look after it nowt will go wrong ,just like any car
