Default burning smell and smoke.

hi need advice. have a 2001 wrx bugeye. just recently ive noticed that my car is smoking from engine when ive accelerated at speed then stop at lights or roundabout. it smells like oil. but hd it in to subaru and cant find any leaks. but only happens if i drive the car fast. but the smoke is bad at times just like oil burnning off the engine. any help appreciated cause cant get any were with this. cheers.

Leak from the cam cover gaskets? Renowned for dripping onto the exhaust.

+2 yeah rocker cover gaskets common problem, just show's wouldn't let a dealer touch my car. get it sorted cause can set fire on the up-pipe

most likely to be rocker. but could also be oil return pipe for the turbo split or worked loose. im having a mare on mine with it atm and it a bitch job to do!

Happened on ours. Ran sweet as you like unless driven fast when a smell of burning oil would be noticed when you stopped.

Same here mine was smelling and it turned out to be the crankshaft front oil seal did that now the rocker cover gasket is leaking

To be honest its been leaking for a while now should do it really

advice above is good, have you had any heatwrap done lately? mine was like that after I had the downpipe done, cleared up after a while.
