Thumbs up

If you're after new wiper blades that is,
In at the dealers last weekend and asked about new blades
due to passenger side smearing a little, I was quite shocked
to be quoted £15 drivers and £12 passenger side +Vat
Decided that I could live for while with a little smearing.
Popped into a motor spares shop out of curiosity and ended up
buying a new set of Bosch for £15.98 all in, the guy even fitted them for me (I'm easily confused with quick fitting clips)

Don't know who they use as standard but these Bosch blades are spot on..smear free and quiet Didn't realise how worn the old ones must have been till I replaced em
It's all suddenly become clearer to me now

Cool

I fitted a set of wipers from a company called Jamek Trading to my girlfriends Golf mk4. I bought them mail-order after they won the Autocar group test, they're a silicon based rubber and come with a lifetime guarantee. Think they were £12 each. Almost a year on and I'm still very impressed. The silicon has obviously left a film on the window and you can actually drive in rain without the wipers as the rain runs off the windscreen - you really have to see this to believe it. Autocar reckoned they left the windscreen noticeably clearer than any of the other wipers and I'd agree. All the usual brands were in the test. I'm about to order a set for the Scooby. If anyone's interested I'll post the phone number once I find the packet in my garage.

Kevin.

Do u know who are the OEM for Subaru?
Anyway, Bosch products are very good, and a lot of Japanese manufacturers use their components.

Champion VX with venturi effect for me. Sucks the blade down onto the screen nicely.

I got a set of Halfords ones lately and although they are good, they aren't the best ones I ever had and the recommended passenger side Scobby wiper didn't have the right clip. Since I saw a test in another magazine, I've been using rain-x anyway which makes the water slide of the windows on it's own so less use of wipers. It costs eight quid a bottle but is well worth it, especially on the side windows.

Steve,
Have you been using it long as I'm sure I've read on here about similar stuff leaving smears and stains.
Is it added to the washer reservoir? I'd be interested myself if it "does exactly what it says on the bottle" as the man from ronseal would say
