Don't worry even at 2 bar mine haven't gone anywhere....

Except the one on the DV hose, that came of about 400 yards from the entrance to Elvington, going to the last Scoobysprint round !

'Tis a shame that the polished end-tanks are hidden, but I'm not chopping up a Prodrive front bumper

dunx

P.S. Start looking for a Hyperflow TMOC to match now ?

Question

Damn! Weight!

That's one thing I didn't even consider when deciding to opt for this, rather than one of harveys Hybrids. Is there a significant weight difference between them?

With 400 bhp, 10 kg is not significant, don't know what an APS or Hybrid weighs.

You'll be removing the power steering and aircon next....

BEHAVE !

Thumbs up

Oh if the difference is that sort of figure...... I was thinking they were real heavy buggers or something , based on what was posted before.

For an extra 10kg, it only takes about a couple of bhp to keep the same power/weight.

As you say, "For'geh'abou'iiiiid"

I must say dunx, after winning that Hyperflow, the bug is starting to bite... and HARD! I'm 'only' a large K&N cone; 740cc inj; STi 3/4 heads/MAF; GT Spec headers/up-pipe; and big turbo away from having 400!

First things first though... in the meantime will be fitting FMIC, K&N cone and 740s, remapped on my existing TD05 16g for 320-340....

Yeah, I had two snipes set up: one at £400, the other at £500. Shame it didn't go for < £400, but I'm v. happy all things considered.

Question

Right you lot, received the Hyperflow this morning. Just need to check...

- It came with 6 black silicone hose joiners

- It came with 5 sections of metal hard piping... creating 7 joints (including "from the turbo" and "to the TB").

I assume I have to reuse the "TB short hose" to make up the full complement of 7 hoses/joints? - see incredibly rough drawing below:-

(The "3-pipes side" and "2-pipes side" might be on the wrong sides, but that's academic as far as my question about the hoses/joints goes.)

From memory you need to use a 45º in there somewhere, and we have bought new so there is enough length of pipe to get the clip on much more easily. You will have to cut some material away on the inner wing as the HF kit is for a 97-00 car which is subtly different.

I can't remember which way round the HF units are plumbed in 97-00, the later ones cross so the drivers side pipes go to the throttle body.

Question

Cheers Paul.

I'd be wanting ZEN to fit it in the near future anyway, so do you have any appropriate silicone hoses, all hose clamps, etc. that the kit may be short of, to be able to fit it on the booked-in day.

Or would it be advisable to bring it down to you sometime and leave it with you so that you can make sure everything is there - and any shortfall items pre-ordered - ready for fitting on the appropriate day...

Yeah, it doesn't come with a DV hose, neither

The DV port on the hard pipe (for the hose) has a really big bore to it!

Threw mine at Andy Nichols (?) and said "You can keep it !"

dunx, I assume you're running a VTA (for ease of fitment if nothing else)? Which make/model is it? (If I have to replace my OEM Forge recirc, then I'll want a VTA that actually works PROPERLY! ...)
