PLEASE help me choose which one to buy:
My last thread on this topic i promise, but i really cant decide which of these 2 scoobies to go for:
I am hopfully getting one of the 2 cars listed below, but cant decide which one.
Both Imprezas, both 53 plates, both 350bhp.
The black was my favourite but not sure now:
Black - Subaru : 350bhp sti uk
Blue - 2003 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX-STI TYPE UK BLUE NO SWAP!!!!! on eBay, also, Subaru, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 29-May-09 16:18:09 BST)
I like them both, but the blue one has 95k miles which is the ONLY thing putting me off - however scoobyclinic said its been well maintained. Plus the blue one has a great private plate (S8OOBY)
The black one has standard clutch, and needs new front discs and front tires for MOT in Nov - the blue one has MOT til Sept.
The black one would cost approx £700 more for me than the blue.
WHAT one do i choose?

I am with bighead on this one.
I definitely prefer the blue over black on Scoobys. From an OCD point of view, black also gets very dirty very quickly. I had a Civic Type-R in black and it was a pain keeping it clean. The Scooby in blue I now have looks clean even after driving 100 miles on a wet motorway.
Have you seen this one on sale. Lower mileage and has the PPP fitted so around 310bhp.

Well most of those are badly over priced, an 03 car should be going in good condition for about 7k, those are 8-9k, silly money, so have a look at this one in the autotrader, its an MY05 car, means it has the wider track/geometry setup with A-DCCD (which is what you want really ) and its only about 1.5k more with fsh and 39k (plus PPP fitted so 305ps)

I don't think they are over priced too much.
Bugeye STi's were going for around £7,250 for a 50k example when I was looking over the past few months.
The cheapest blobeye STi, I came across which looked clean and unabused came in at £8,500 for a 55k example (PPP fitted).

The blue one wont be 350 bhp anyway, not with just a decat exhaust and an induction kit.
Out of the 2 I would have the black one, but I would have a search through auto trader first as tony has advised

cheers guys - blue one might be a pain now as he's wanting to wait a while...
..this one is back in the running - not an STi fair enough, but massive spec and will cost me £2,100 LESS than the black one:
Subaru : High Specs WRX FSH Private plate Price Reduced

I am fairly sure you could get a mint bugeye STi for around £7,500 with a very high spec. That would be what I would be going for with your budget if you also like bugeyes.

mate, if I were you I would take a step back and wait for the
right one to come up, if you really wanted either of them you wouldnt hesitate,
I also agree that a well sorted low mileage bugeye would be a better buy
