I have managed to get hold of a limited edition official GRID crash helmet.

I have been trying to find more info about these and what its worth. I have only been able to find mention of one other on the internet so they must be very rare.
This helmet meets the European ECE R22-05 safety standards


What do you guys think? Should I stick it on ebay?

 

It's either that or you stick it on ya head and get on a track day!

Or do both......

 

It doesn't appear to have the ventilation for driver comfort in the way a helmet such as an Arai GP5 has, also it is not as far as I can make out HANS compliant so in this day and age would not be of much intrest to anyone involved in racing.

Does it have a SNELL number label inside it?

 

?, is this not just a piece of game Merchandise ?

Ie its a standard helmet from a manufacturer that Codemasters have stuck some stickers on for their Racedriver game lauch in 08.
