I'm thinking of upgrading my MY94 5 door interior to the later style that has the buckety type seats with the blue checks (apparently!).

Has anyone got any pics of the above so I can decide whether to do it or not?

I've done what you are thinking of. I have a silver 4door MY95 turbo. The original seats had been re-done in black leather and althought these were nice I really liked the newer bucket seats.

The fabric of the bucket seats changed around the 97/98 mark from black (with gray on the outer edges of the sholder/leg parts) to black with blue flecks (with gray on the inner parts of the sholder/leag parts).

With my model (an yours proberly) the interior trim is a lightish grey so the black would probably look better. I went for the black/blue from a MY00 car. The colour combination does not really go (light grey dash, black/blue seats) but they don't look too bad.

The later ones also have an adjustable tilt for the seat base so you can alter the height of the seat. I really like the bucket seats. One of the best mods I've done.

I'll try and get some pics today and post/mail them.

From what you've said, it sounds like the seats I may buy are the later type which sound better. As for the dash, I'd describe mine as nearly black rather than light grey. Maybe something to do with the exterior colour difference between my car and yours - red as opposed to silver.

The door cards for the newer model does not fit the older cars. The shape does not fit correctly where the door meets the dash. If someone can post a later model pic you will be able to see.

The inserts on mine are the leather that the original seats were in. As this is black it actually goes quite well with the new seats. I think the original turbo seat fabric is blue/gray?
