Default which mod first

hi all, my friend took my scoob for a run the other day and he owns an evo6 rally art, anyway when he came back he said is was a bag of s***e and couldnt believe how slow it was picking up, (i thought it was the dogs ***** till then,lol). now i know modding dont come cheap but is there anything i can do at a budget, i know it already has a de-cat on it but thats it i think,

Don't listen to evo driver's mate there like scooby drivers but with there brains kicked in.

The best money I ever spent wasn't in any power upgrades but a simple pukka suspension set up.
Its not all about big BHP!

1. A set of really good tyres - Good year eagle F1s with pressure that feel right for you. (so the yres are the best and you know that)

2. A really good front brake set up (so you can wipe of that entry speed quickly and get the car set up for the next bend)

3. Driver training - get totaly comfortable with it on the limits. (If you dont have a feel for this you wont know what needs improving)

4. ARBs anti lift kit coilovers ect - basically suspension (now you know what needs improving)

5. Exhaust - upgade filter - remap (now up the power)

and up the power and up the power

Thats it

Young **** just tend to up the power

well hopefully i dont clash myself as one of those young t1ts
already have the tyres and de-cat and i know it nedds a decent brake set up, standard seems awful.

A great and reasonably inexpensive mod is to get the antilift kit, rear ARB and a good geometry. About £110 for each part, 2 hours labour-ish and about £80 for the geometry.

For power, an obvious route is to pick up a 2nd STi turbo (VF35) about £250 and remap it, with supporting mods. Will see you around 330bhp.

There's no simple and cheap route to going faster and everything else needs upgrading to really make use of it.

ARBs, Whiteline adjustable 22mm front 24mm rear seem the most popular, although I have Eibachs. Also uprate the droplinks while you're at it and if you can get an ALK.
