Angry Friday 13th

Has anyone had any bad luck?

I booked the day off and thought I'd stay at home and play some computer games....................

Not to tempt fait I left the scoob on the drive all day untill I remembered its Valentines day tomorrow and I had'nt got the missus anything! so I went to the local shops to get her something! safe trip I thought, well, I'll give the car a wash and low and behold A big Nail stuck out of the side wall of my rear tyre!

My last rant on here was about quick fit some of you may remember? Well I was desperet, I went back there with my tail between my legs begging as its the closest garage for a trye £180 thought that was expensive? anyways they didnt have any in stock..............

What now?been to 6 garages today trying to find a 215/40/18 nobody seems to have them in!! I'm thinking you can buy a alloy and tyre package for £400

Thanks to VTRSteve for the Standard 16" wheels for now Its not the same though

and the even worse news is that if your tyres have a bit of wear on them, you'll need 2 new ones minimum. The one with the nail, and its partner on the other side. The joy of AWD.

Quite the opposite for me I had a very very lucky escape last night.

Driving back from work at 8pm last night along the range road from Bulford to Tidworth - for those that know it - There is a long sweeping bend that can still be taking safely at 60mph. I know I was doing <60 as I thought the Police were sat behind me, as you go round the bend there is a turning for a VCP which isn't used.

As I came round the bend I was aware of a big set of headlights on my side of the road coming towards me, my immediate reaction was WTF is that and what became apparent very quickly was a full set of trailer lights, the orange ones that run along the side of the trailer, blocking both sides of the road.

This VCP turning is a dead end and not very long so not sure what was happening. After seeing the lights its safe to say I papped myself but luckily enough in my microseconds of thinking I had come off the brakes and took the decision to attempt to swerve around the back of the it. I managed to do this, obviously as I am able to type this lol, but I am fairly sure that a part of my car went under the trailer if not it was mighty close.

I am very very lucky that nothing was on the other side of the road.

1% My Ability
1% Cars Ability
98% Pure luck.
