Default Turbo inlet pipe off??!! Missfire?

Basically, the turbo inlet pipe from the airbox to the front entry of my turbo has slipped off. The jubilee clip is still there but the pipe has definately came off. Its just resting on the end of the turbo inlet.

What would this caus? Overboost/missfire?

It drives fine but when on full boost, the car misfires badly.

However, I also changed the plugs too, so the missfire could be down to that. (dodgy plug/gaps not set correctly)

I'll put it back on tomorrow and try it and if it still missfires, replace the plugs. Hopefully it'll just be the pipe but I'm just looking for some members thoughts as to which one it will be so I can sleep easier tonight!!

wouldnt even risk driving it untill you get it fixed on as you are likely to blow your engine.

Yes it will cause a misfire and could also damage the engine!!!
The engine can take air without beingm read by the MAF. Its also unfiltered as being taken after the air filter. Giving an opertunity for crap to get in there.

I had a hose pop off my front mount once. Was running rough as ****.
Luckily at low speed. Switched off and sorted right away. All was well again.

Pop the hose back on and then see if its all good again.

Put the hose back on, no difference.

Took the plugs out and one had about a 2mm gap , others were fine. Reset the gap and once again, all is well with the world.
