Default A little HELP req'd pls ! ! ! !

Hi.

I have a problem with my 97 WRX and will persist to resolve myself before the need to book someone at £100 an hr !!!

For the last couple of weeks, the engine intermitently decides to run on three cylinders??? It would sometimes clear after a mile or two but it now hasnt run on all 4 cylinders for 120 miles.

I've changed the Plugs, replaced the Air Filter and HT leads. Put on a new Coil Pack and Air Flow Meter and the problem is not going away.

There doesnt seem to be any white smoke from the exhaust and the water levels look good.

Has anyone ever had this problem or can help?

Could it possibly be a dodgy injector or something and not an electrical fault?

Any help greatly received.

if its not running right now get outside and pull the plug off each injector 1 by 1 see if it makes any difference to the idling.

Thanks scoobnewb72...Will check the injectors tomorrow. Sry to sound like a rookie but... where will i find them?

Are the plugs easy to remove as everything else on these engines require numerous part removal to gain access ! ! !

I'm not complaining... just learning !!!

Peace.

OK. Pulled the plugs off all 4 injectors and found the dodgy cylinder.

Any other suggestions before i go ahead and buy some new injectors?

Any tips on which injectors very welcome..... ?
