That will be the Legacy H6 engine.

3 litre flat 6.

There is no bracing for the cylinder walls, I doubt it would take much power/torque. THese blocks are for the 3.0 litre legacy engine

IIRC an American tuner (can't remember which one) dropped a H6 engine into an Impreza. It was making big bhp as I recall.

The 3.0L H6 is a sweet engine... very very smooth with bags of torque...

isnt the porsche a boxer 6 ok not a subaru engine but still same design.

Several people have in the distant past tried to fit the 6's into imprezas....... i've not heard of one that got properly sorted....... someone even fitted one in an old subaru pick up thing.... you know, the farmers favourite!!

Chy at Pennine is up to something with it. I spotted a 3 hole block boring clamp near the boring machine last time I was up there. If anyone can do it he can.

Yes, some of Porsches' engines are 'flat' in design.
