Default Anyone got opinion on prodrive spoiler? P.S final instalment of carwash incident

Hopefully the final chapter of the carwash story - have agreed a figure with insurance and hope to get cheque soon........... Spoke to owner of garage who was very apologetic (bit late in the day maybe ) he has insurance which should cover the carwash people on his premises so my insurers should be able to claim their money from him.
No contact at all from any of the carwash people tho!

But the good news is I'm mobile again Bought another blobeye WRX yesterday, very well looked after by previous owner and will be greatly missed by him; I feel so chuffed to be back in a scooby again but at the same time bad at taking over someone's PAJ!

I want to get few bits done on car; firstly a spoiler - had WRC style on previous car (from Scoobyworld - saw thread re problems with their spoiler but mine was fine), which I really liked but maybe looking for something a bit different this time. As the car has PPP fitted was wondering about a prodrive spoiler - they don't seem very common - so wanting opinions from anyone who has one please. Where do you get them? Any problems with fitting etc?
Also does anyone know if I can get prodrive mudflaps?

Thanks

From now on wash the car yourself.

No, but on a serious note that is great news, glad it's all working out for you.

Rgds Red.

PS. Don't forget to post some pics up of the new car when the mods are sorted.

Glad to hear its been sorted for you, and relatively quickly to i guess! This could have dragged out for a very long time.

If you find a prodrive spoiler let me know, as ive never been able to track one down, i bet they are ££££`s as well.

I have a prodrive uk300 spoiler on my 2002 Sti, I'm not to fond of it to be honest.
I want to get a high level back on there, works fine but it looks to 80's for me.

Can you not go have a quiet word with the impound garage and offer them some beer tokens to allow you to swap bootlids over (assuming both cars are the same colour) then you wont need to go out and shell out loads of cash for a new spoiler

I am guessing its black ? if it is, take advice on a good washing routine as a car wash will well and truly ruin a Mica black blobeye. You will see nothing but holograms when the sun comes out.

IMHO keep the WRX one, I think they look great on a scoob with nice alloys, springs etc.

I did ponder the same question though so here are my efforts.

Glad you have a scoob again

Have looked on prodrive website ; have to be redirected to official subaru parts site; not the easiest site in the world to navigate had spoilers on there, more than £600 and it wasn't clear how you could order them anyway..........

So a WRC one then I think Can't take old one off car; apart from different colour car has been removed from pound and gone ? knows where.

This car has gold flecks in the black paintwork that show up in the light - love it! Have all black scoobys got that effect?

P.P.S was picture of my crashed car in the local paper this week
Brief story about what it being taken for joyride by valeter, asking for the owner of car to contact newsdesk! Am thinking about it

Gold fleck is the same as mine. Graphite Black is the official name for it.

There are a few other Blacks.

Told you to do that three times already in the last thread!

Chance to make the point you will be expecting the owner to cover it either through insurance or out of his pocket!

Look, when does a woman ever do what she's told
But actually I have spoken to them today; didn't say too much because when I spoke to the owner of the garage who rents his ground to the car wash lot he said that he has insurance which will cover it and his ins company is dealing with mine.........but I wanted to make the point about other car owners not leaving their keys with such establishments. But they print what they want to don't they; reporter seemed more interested in the fact that subarus are used by ANPR team

RallySportDirect.com - Prodrive WRX Aero Pack Rear UK300 Spoiler

It will work out quite expensive with the shipping though

Yes you're right! Good website tho, thanks for giving that website link, shame it's not UK. I didn't realise it would be so difficult to get one so will probably abandon that idea - looked at prodrive mudflaps as well -$259

I've seen these pop up on ebay from time to time, though you'll have to keep checking. Good luck, there aren't many around!

I had one of those GB270 style spoilers but got rid. The bloody thing was huge, even by Impreza standards, and very heavy IMO. Not my cup of tea.

Have you considered the spoiler off the S204? Now that is a very nice look IMO if spoilers are your thing.

Mikkel, don't forget you are talking to a person of very little brain

What does one of those look like then? Any pics?

Thanks
