you should be able to remove the letters individually by carefully slipping a v.sharp
blade laid flat to the glass, i.e. a stanley knife blade removed from the handle

watch out for the rear window demist elements
i.e. don't cut them

then you'll have "fun" placing them back on without the help of the backing paper

No chance of reapplying them as I ripped up the ones that weren't applied in a frustrated rage.

Will attempt the removal procedure ..

bit nervous about something else going wrong (windows caving in, wheels falling off etc) given my obvious complete ineptitude with this 'project'

1. heat the offending part of the sticker with a hairdryer and that should make the adhesive less effective and it should come off easier.........

2. Once removed, throw offending sticker to floor and proceed to jump on it repeatedly......

3. repeat stage 1 to remove offending sticker from sole of shoe!!!!!

Sod this, I'm off down the pub before closing time.

If you see a Silver Impreza driving about with the words 'oby ek' plastered haphazardly across the rear window please don't laugh

Might leave them on just to remind myself.

mental note - NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES APPROACH CAR ARMED WITH SCREWDRIVER / RATCHET SET / HAMMER / ANY TOOLS OF ANY DESCRIPTION

Cool

I've got an MY98 FSSH, one very careful owner ..... before I bought it of him

I think i'm in negative equity however so I doubt I'd sell up (finance is 13K)

Don't think you should buy one, resale value is low enough already without ******* like you ruining the image

I'm off to bed, Goodwood tommorrow

Gary

The stickers are really very easy to apply when you know how.

Firstly, don't do the job on a really cold day, it makes the job twice as hard.

Secondly, get a squirty gun thing, fill it with water and then add a squirt of fairy liquid.

Throughly spray the area where you want to put the sticker with the water solution. Apply the sticker over the top of the water. If you get it in the wrong position, you can gently pull it off and re-position it. If you do pull the sticker off, re-spray the area with a little more solution.

When the sticker is in the right position, use a squeegee to get all of the water out from under the sticker.

Then.., leave the sticker an hour or two for the water underneath to evaporate and for the sticker to dry out.

Finally, once the sticker has dried out, remove the thin paper backing from the letters and "hey presto"

Hope this helps.
