Default Changing to 2 pot rears..need some urgent help

Am changing to a rear 2 pot conversion on a classic (95wrx)

Need to know how people have got around the problem of the disc guard being to small on the bigger discs.

Any help would be appreciated as we have now hit a brick wall on doing this conversion

Many thanks

Not done mine yet, but believe it has to be drilled off.
When I done my front Brembos, I just bent the lip out.
IS that an option?

Some good threads for you:

I don't have rear guards with my Brembo's Chris, not had any adverse affects at all.

Cheers Simon
We were just wondering if we could hack them off without any issue and it looks we can

Well I've not had any and my mechanic was not concerned removing them... think of it as a cooling aid

Just bare it in mind in heavy rain and have a dab on the brakes just in case they are wet from time to time.

Thanks for your replies Guys and thanks Swiss for posting this In the last 2 weeks I've fitted big front brakes to 2 Skylines and bent the disc guards out of the way but the disc guards look quite substantial so I wondered if I could just trim them I'll have a go at trimming them tomorrow with my tin snips

Thanks

There are, IIRC, about 6 rivets. Just drill out carefully, takes about 5 minutes all in, then repaint the bit that it was attached to with Black Hammerite, Smoothrite etc.

Use a sharp drill about 8mm will suffice.
