Hi,

I have a 2nd hand standard Catalunya, and its proving very difficult to get it into 1st gear, after a bit of driving. I'm having to double declutch to get the gear in, on occasion.

I'm guessing its serious, but don't know the details. I'm taking it to the garage, but I don't think they'll want to replace the gearbox under warranty...

Any guesses as to the cause / cost to fix etc of the problem?

 

First try a gearbox oil change is my advice unless they do it under warranty. I think Castrol Syntrax is the stuff to use.

 

Yes, they changed the oil last week. It was fractionally better, but it didn't last.
