Default Please tell me i'm right.

Right, had a bit of a disagreement with a customer at work today. Turns out the guy has a 2002 Sti UK bugeye and he wants to part ex for a Beetle cab. The Sales manager asked me to look over his Scooby for a PX value/General condition. So sure enough had a look round it and all was ok, popped the bonnet and noticed Sti Alloy strut Brace, Red Samco hoses and a STi Coolant presure cap I pointed out to him nice mods and he said its "all standard and its got a strut brace on the rear too" I told him thats not standard but he insisted it was and his mate has a same car and his identical under the bonnet. I bit my tongue and walked away.

Anyway what i'm trying to get at did the 2002 STI UKs come with Front and Rear strut braces as standard?

I really hope i'm right now.

I know a lot more about JDM cars than UK cars, but Im confident that the strut braces were added afterwards.

Newage UK cars don't come with them, JDM cars get the titanium front brace, but nothing on the rear. As for Samco hoses, no they don't come them. And the uprated STI rad cap is also an aftermarket add on.

Well spotted Sir !

I think a few canny dealers will have offered a few tasty bits. The numpties I bought mine off wouldn't even throw in mats and flaps....
So I canned the bejesus out of my classic till it got traded-in !

LOL
