Unhappy Best adice i can give regarding selling your Scooby

Well, I finally sold it last night - totally gutted...

I advertised on Pistonheads/ SIDC/ here and got no where. Advertised on Autotrader weeks ago and got a good few enquiries followed by last nights sale.

Life is just plain crap and boring now...

best way to sell any car, is to make it sellable. eg drop the price on it.

bought and sold over 50 cars so far and have sold mostly via auto trader but not always.. i try and advertise on pistonheads locals and free ads before auto trader and if all else fails ebay.. however sometimes car forums will do the trick!! buyers market currently this year and prices are falling... good luck buyers and sellers.

I found that ebay is ok just as a contact for guys coming round to buy it, then remove the auction early as it has been sold elsewhere.(if that makes sense)

Never seen it before but have noticed that trade sales on pistonheads are slightly cheaper than private on p/heads and autotrader, sign of the times?
Guess I will be keeping the classic for later modding maybe

How come you don't have a roof vent?

Think it was an option? To be honest i wouldn't want one,i've heard they can leak and be noisy.

I've never bought a car considering what i'd get for it when I sell it. I've always thought buy what you want, use it till you're bored and if you get anything at the end for it then that's a bonus.
I'm with RyanSTI, the cars will sell if we price them fairly, the only problem is that too many people think their cars are worth more than others are willing to pay.

In answer to an earlier question: roof vents (along with DCCD transmissions) are found on WRX STI Type-RA saloons, not on WRX Type-RA saloons. It wasnt an option; unless you consider buying a far, far more expensive model an option...
