Cool

Elevate it to cult status as soon as you like

1000 P1's made = cult status

c200 RB5WR's made = I'll stick with my RB cheers

Trade + Retail are two different things.

I get the impression that they're desperate to get rid of them.

There's even a full page ad in this weeks Autocar for the P1 stating "This could be your last chance to be one of only 1,000 lucky Impreza P1 owners worldwide etc etc."

Exclamation

Personally I would'nt touch any of the ex-demo's that are up for sale. Purley because these cars will have been ragged by every person who has test drove them. Fair enough if it was a Merc S-Class then that would be a different story, because you when you go out and test drive an s-class you are not really that interested in how fast it is are you ?

I still think P1 owners who bought them new will not lose a whole lot of money, we may have to keep the cars for over 2 or 3 years to realise the value, this also depends if Prodive decide to do another model, which personally I dont think they will. The whole point of the P1 was to allow British drivers to own a STI that conformed to UK regs with the backup of a 3 year warranty, etc..

If the new STI is to oficially come to the UK (which it probably will) then what is the point of Prodrive attempting to doing a P2. The performance of the new STI is already pretty good. For such a project to succeed the P2 would have to be an improvment. I personally feel they will probably stick to selling ad-ons that are sold under the WR brand.

Regards
Paul

Cool

I have on good authority that the new STi will be imported to the UK.

At this stage I only see Prodrive putting their names to cars more like the 22B (perhaps in makeup and numbers), even if it is called P2.

If what Roberto says is true then the P1 will surely be elevated to Escort Cossie status in a few years.

Cool

That'll be the same CVC that have a standard RB5 on a 'T' for £22,995

Anyone want my RB5 WR on a 'V' for £21,995

Scooby garages at Bedford & Milton Keynes both have P1s also at list price - not surprised they have been hanging around for several months

Someone's advertising a P1 with 18"s for 34k on autotrader. Yoiks.

Regarding ex-demo's... Scoobs need 1000miles running-in... I don't believe that test drivers are going to stick below 4000rpm when they take these cars out... so this must mean that any ex-demo scoob hasn't been run in properly, and the engine's been knackered before you even start!
