i think the first owner imported it on his own as i have no details apart from the owners name but i know he got it serviced at 1000 miles by roger clark and its them that think the owner imported on his own as they remember the car.

its had a few in the past, the car was about 4 months old when it came into the uk. and some owners had it for 6 months and others for years. so i think they cant afford to keep it running.

Mine is a UK spec Bug (2001) and I am the 7th owner....3 owners were traders who sold it though( I am told?)

Seems to be in good nick (touch wood!)....took it to ScoobyClinic for Cambelt change Service and they said everything seemed to be running well!

I think that with performance cars...many owners doesn't mean much.....people buy them cos they've always wanted one...then they spend loadsa money doing it up and then they either get a faster one or they run out of cash and have to sell!

Mines got lotsa Prodrive body part goodies on it and in it! Alloys, kit, slplitter and someone even changed the interior to Carbon Fibre(or lookilike CF)

I am just gonna spend my cash on servicing and Tax....oh and petrol

Nothing wrong with that as long as its been well maintained.

Mines a fresh import and i had to do alot of work on the car to put it right cos it was not looked after well in japan.

mine is still in very good condition for the age and was standerd until i put wheels up tarted it up a little under the bonnet.

but you are right cars can have lots of owners as some will only keep a year and move on and then they can say i had a scooby.

i really want to keep performance as it is which is 307bhp and thats standerd sti with decat.

Better to get a import thats been in the UK a while in my view.

More time its been through the UK MOT system the better.
