Not change the rear diff.
You need a different prop though coz the bolt spacings are different.
Do a google search for subaru 6 speed conversion and theres a few really useful threads to be read.

hi all,
its a uk gearbox and he needs to put the diff in to marry up with front diff set up, he also wants to use the rear brembos. the prop isnt an issue as he can get one made its just the fact that the rear driveshafts seem longer than the classic or is it just a case of putting it all in ?????????? hubs aswell.

If he wants the brembo's as well then yeah. He has to use the hubs and driveshafts too.
