7000 but that's probably too high and I never have to rev it even nearly that hard with the engine being so torquey. Will probably drop to 6500 to be more sensible.

TBH I drive by the sound of the engine so rarely look at the rev counter when using the fast pedal.

I've got mine at 6250 at the moment, but tbh I haven't had much time to experiment yet.

not a 2.5 but my sti is set to 5800. If you look at your torque/bhp graph they tail off at 6. Set to just below so by the time you hear it and changed, you should still be in a good band! Or just drive it and you can tell by engine note! We all know how/when roughly to change gear!

Sound of the engine and all depending on yyour circumstances too. I'm sure I read somewhere that the 2.5's don't enjoy being pushed too far up the rev range, with peak power (as standard) being not as high up the rev range as you'd think. I also prefer to use the ample torque in the gears and it feels as if after 5.5k it's not pulling as hard anyway.

Such graphs can look quite different after having a few bits and pieces put onto your motor and after having a good mapping session

Yeah I found the all the power was very low down the rev range pre-map. Especially coming from a 3.5 V6 NA engine to the Impreza. Now the power is just everywhere lol best "modification" (I prefer upgrade) yet!

When stationary (goes without saying but you never know lol) just press the button below the rev counter and then turn the dial to set the rev limit.

You turn it right and hold for the limit and I think if you turn it left it removes the bleep? Light is always on....Runs outside to check car

Scrap that! Turn it left or right and hold for rev limit then when it stops flashing turn it once left or right to turn bleep on/off
