I stand to be proved wrong, but from what i have seen in other test.. the STi should more than make up for the poor performance of the WRX.
I think we will see that the gap between the STi and the WRX will be even wider than it has been before.

The reports I've heard from the annual contest of Evo vs Scoob at Tsukuba (or whatever it's called) are promising. It might just get a good review if they appreciate it for the car it is. If Tiff, Plato or (God forbid) the Stumpy Munter have their Scooby-hating head on it might get panned though, however good it is.

Yup, just checked. Tiff in the STi, VBH doing the shootout with the Escort Cossie against the FRS, and then Tiff and Plato head-to-head in the Clio Cup vs Cooper S Works. The Wookie is going off-roading in a Hummer 3 and hopefully the googley-eyed student has been sacked, and we can but hope that the Munter walks out in sympathy

Personal opinion, but I cringe when I watch her lollop about all twitchy and awkward with almost no balance and fluidity to her driving. I have been known to throw things at the telly when she reaches for the handbrake. Funny how Tiff and Jason can manage to get cars sideways and drifting without resorting to such crude, McDonalds car park driving techniques

I'd hurt her, not in the way which would find her enthralling her giggling mates over a drink the next day, more in a way which would result in many years of counseling.

How are you anyway, long-time-no-see ?
I've been mulling over an idea for a one-off meet of 'The Old Leatherpickers', maybe at The Fenay Bridge', to reminisce, ridicule and catch up with everyone now most of us have strayed from the club. Would you be interested ?

Probably - I've been supposed to come along to a couple of the last meets but things have got in the way like 1 week in 4 in Darlington - generally at the end of the month and a lot of things happening with photographic clubs etc so it's been a no-show so far
Did I pick up that there were three of you now in the household?

Five if you count the cats

This little fella is in charge now.
Your photographic skills could be put to the test next saturday with some motorsport shots
Congrats - looks like the STi is on hold for a couple more decades - MY26 here we come
Unfortunately, it's the judging of the annual photo competition in Yorkshire on Saturday and being the Print Secretary for Yorkshire, it's a bit of a given that I'll be there...
What am I missing this time?

I've no need for a Scoob these days. As much fun as I had over the 3 years of ownership and club events, I've moved on and family/work comes first. Might be viewing an Octavia vRS TDi PD170 next week, but if the money for an STi were available I'd be considering a 335D Coupe or A5 3.0 TDi Quattro. I was chatting to Al about just this last week, and his T20 will be going soon (probably) for one of these.
