Hi Guys,

If your car was built between May 1993 & July 1997 you will wan't the following "o" Ring:

34427AA020 - £0.88 + VAT (£1.03) From a Subaru Dealer

Just to double check - the above is the correct part number for a 1996?

Different part number in this post:

I have double checked the part numbers, and the number quoted in this thread https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...ing-fluid.html is incorrect as the op states that he has the round type of reservoir and it therefore would have a 13mm seal fitted which carries a part number of 34427AA020....

I have also checked what I wrote and have to admit that I was not 100% correct in what I said "If your car was built between May 1993 & July 1997"... Depending on the market the car was built for there are some early cars that had an oblong reservoir fitted and these had a 20mm seal fitted which carries a part number of 31266GA020.

As to the original op's question with regard to a 96 wagon, this should in theory have the round type reservoir fitted which would have the seal that I originally suggested (34427AA020)

It appears that the only way to be 100% sure is to input a chassis number into the relevent markets parts system.

Sorry for the confusion

phil

Sorry to bring this topic up again

Assuming this part 34427AA020 is just a std o ring right?

If that is the case I guess I can use a generic o ring from a plumbing shop. Does anyone know what the diameter is ??

Thanks!
