Default vf28, what's the best you can get

hi guys, i am doing a 2.0lt cdb project and looking for roughly 420/420. how good is the vf28? what is the max i can get out of it? once i am done with the engine it will be capable of 500bhp for reliability purposes . i know md321t is the way for 420/420 but what other options do i have?
thanx

MOST people get around 330 mark with VF28. You are right with the MD turbo.

VF28 is a cracking turbo for spooling up quickly, but wont come near the 420 your looking for AFAIK

I had 360bhp out of a VF28 and it was screaming its nuts off at that.

If you want 400 bhp then look at TD05 20G or an MD321H

Cheers

TD05 20G would be maxing out at 400.
What about a scoobyclinic sc42 or sc45?

the 20G should be good for 420 if he uses the appropriate fuel for it, andy.f does say use the smallest turbo you need
